Almost. According to customers, the taste is "98% the old chewy licorice": familiar, old-fashioned goodness. These strips are a bit firmer and cut slightly thicker than the original though. We're upfront about that, so you know exactly what you're ordering.

Honest answer: mainly the name. Trekdrop is the licorice you know from back in the day, but it hasn't been made for years. Strekdrop is the new name for the same kind of sweet, stretchy licorice strips. According to our customers, the taste is "98% the old trekdrop". So are you looking for trekdrop? Then you've come to the right place.

Long. Because of the high sugar content, licorice doesn't spoil quickly, but it can dry out if the packaging isn't sealed properly. Well sealed, trekdrop stays tasty for over a year. Store it cool, dry and dark, and check the best before date on the packaging. So you can eat the 5 kilos without any rush. Though we hear from customers that this is rarely the problem.

Chewy licorice is naturally soft and sticky, and in warm weather the strips can stick together. Simply pull them apart again. It says nothing about the quality: fresh, soft licorice just sticks more easily than dried-out licorice.

Sure, that's what the 500 gram is for. And if you order with Klarna, you only pay up to 30 days later. Taste first, then decide.

Cool, dry and tightly sealed, for example in a kitchen cupboard. Not in the fridge, as licorice gets hard there. Store it well and it stays just as tasty for months as on day one.

Yes, exactly the same strekdrop. The only difference is the price per kilo: with the 5 kilos you pay the least.
